A standard installation typically takes about one hour, followed by a brief owner walkthrough. Nonstandard vehicle or accessory work may take longer and is discussed in advance.
The process connects the online truck configuration to configuration confirmation, built-to-order production, a scheduled appointment, system mounting and function checks, and a final owner handoff. Liners, covers, toppers, racks, rails, installed equipment, repairs, modifications, and bed condition can all affect the installation interface, so those details are reviewed before production.

The manufacturing and installation center is not a walk-in showroom. Product visits, installations, and vehicle handoffs require a confirmed appointment.
Step 1: Select the exact supported truck
Start with the truck's exact model year, make, model, and factory-stated bed length. Use Find Your Truck to open the current product configuration. If the truck is not listed, use the future-model request rather than choosing a similar model and assuming it will work.
Step 2: Disclose accessories and bed condition
The product configuration asks for details that can affect mounting or clearance:
- Exact model year
- Bed-liner type
- Tonneau cover
- Topper or cap
- Bed rack and cargo rails
- Other equipment, modifications, repairs, or damage
Provide the brand, model, and mounting details when an accessory is installed. If something is uncertain, describe what is visible and provide photographs when requested. A complete disclosure is more useful than guessing that an accessory will be compatible.
Step 3: Review the configured order
The cart review restates the selected system, vehicle, bed length, and disclosed accessory details before Shopify Checkout. Standard factory installation is included in the displayed price. Consumer shipping is not offered at launch.
Silver Bullet reviews the configuration before fabrication. Supported systems are engineered from factory OEM vehicle CAD for the listed model years and bed lengths, but the actual truck can include accessories or changes that are not part of the factory configuration.
Step 4: Built-to-order production
Each drawer system is manufactured for its selected configuration. Use the current production estimate shown on the product and order-review pages rather than relying on an older article, screenshot, or message. The production estimate describes time before installation scheduling; it is not an appointment confirmation.
As the system approaches completion, Silver Bullet contacts the customer to coordinate the Palmer Lake appointment. Travel should be arranged around the confirmed appointment details, not only the estimated production window.
Step 5: Prepare the truck
Bring the same vehicle and bed configuration approved for the order. Remove loose cargo and make the bed reasonably accessible. Disclose liners, tonneau covers, toppers, mats, racks, tanks, wiring, prior modifications, damage, corrosion, and any other condition that could affect installation.
Most supported Silver Bullet trucks use a no-drill installation process. The known drilling exception is the supported Toyota Tacoma 5-foot configuration; the supported Tacoma 6-foot configuration uses the standard no-drill process. “No-drill” describes the standard supported mounting approach and does not promise that a modified truck or third-party accessory can remain unchanged.
Step 6: Installation, function check, and walkthrough
A standard factory installation typically takes about one hour. During the installation, Silver Bullet mounts and aligns the selected system, checks fasteners and clearances, and verifies drawer travel, stops, latch engagement, gasket compression, lock operation, and platform condition.
The brief owner walkthrough covers normal loading, distributed-load ratings, drawer and latch operation, care of the moving and sealing surfaces, and the applicable warranty and support path. Silver Bullet rates the drawer to 400 lb and the platform to 2,000 lb, both under distributed loading; vehicle and cargo-securement limits still apply.
If the truck requires repair, accessory removal or reinstallation, electrical or fuel-system work, body work, or custom fabrication outside the selected system, that work is outside the standard installation. Nonstandard work may take longer and is explained and quoted for approval before it is performed.
